4 මනරම් නරදම් සෑරිදම් සඝනට
මෙලෙසින් බෑතියෙන් අදරින් නමකොට
වෙසෙසින් පළදම් නොමදත් දනහට
පවසම් කලකම් පලදෑන් හෙළුකොට

English meaning

Having thus expressed my adoration with fervent
devotion to the Incomparable Tamer of the tameable,
to the Dhamma and to the Sangha I shall now go on to
relate the results of Kamma in Sinhala, particularly
for the benefit of those who do not know the teachings
in the Pali Canon



3 සිරිමත් බඹ සිරසෙහි පා සිඹිනා
සෑරියුත් මුගලන් පිලිවෙලිනා
පිළිවෙත් මහ සඝගන සොබනා
මුදුනත් බෑද නමදිමි බෑති පෙමිනා

English meaning

With clasped hands on my forehead I bow down to the
Great Sangha-the worthy order rich in virtue, coming down
from the lineage of the venerables Sariputta and Moggallana
for whom the heads of illustrious Brahmas served as a
door-mat for rubbing their feet on



2 ඈම පමනින් පෑවසූ මුනි දෑන තතු
ෙමම හෑම ෙදන බලවයි දෑක්විය යුතු
තම තම නෑණ පමනින් දෑන ගත යුතු
මම නමදිමි සදහමි පහදා සිතු

English meaning

Pleased in mind, I pay homage to the true Dhamma
proclaimed by the Buddha with discerning wisdom to
suit the levels of understanding of all beings-the
Dhamma which invites one to come-and-see and
which is comprehensible by each according to his
degree of intelligence

1ෙසත් සිරි දෙන මහ ගුණ මුහුදා නන්
සත් හට වන බව දුකට ෙවදා නන්
තිත් ඝනදුර දුරෑ ලන දිනි දා නන්
සිත් සෙතාසින් නමදිමි මුනිද නන්

English meaning

"Glad at heart, I pay homage to the supreme sage-the
giver of Blissful Peace, the Great Ocean of virtue, the
physician for the samsaric ills of beings, the sun that
dispels the pitchy darkness of false views."
